Official announcement: Infineon sells HiRel DC-DC converter business

On the 8th of the International Electronic Business News, Infineon Technology Co., Ltd. announced that it had reached a final agreement with Micross Components ("Micross") to sell Infineon's HiRel DC-DC converter business, including hybrid and customized on-board power products, to Micross.



The sale of HiRel DC-DC converter business will enable Infineon to focus on the reliability market, expand its investment in the development of core semiconductor products, and no longer emphasize the business of providing more customized products for the high reliability industry. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2023.

HiRel DC-DC converter business provides leading and reliable DC-DC power conversion solutions for the worst environments such as outer space. This business will be incorporated into the Hi-Rel Products business unit of Micross. These DC-DC converter products are complete power solutions including main power converter, control circuit, filter and housing.
